there was a lot to read about your injury in the past. Does it still play a role when learning new tricks?

Um no not really, the knee is perfect again. But after the injury my mind is a lot stronger. I think more about tricks and I learn them faster, sometimes you need to have bad things in life to make you stronger.

At the last Worldcup stop you staged tries of Kiteloop slim 7s. Can you do them clean by now? And what other tricks will you perform to make people green-eyed this year?

In Brazil just before New Caledonia i was landing them clean, but in New Caledonia I could not peform it unfortunatly. Thats still a secret hahah, but I am training hard to get some new tricks.

Most people need a perfect day to go out and learn new stuff. What is Youri Zoons recipe of success?

Aahha I just go for it when I wanna learn something. Sometimes on a bad day I learn new tricks as well.

For many people the question of how many boards one has broken is an indicator of kite skills. What do you think about this statement and how many boards did you retire?

I think it`s not true, I mean I only broke 2 boards in my whole kite career. When you are on a good level you know how to land or not to land hahah.

The last year the discussion whether the Slingshot RPM is a C-Kite or not remained. What made you choosing this kite?

It´s not a C kite and also not a Bow or SlE kite , it´s The Slingshot RPM! The revolution. The kite just feels really smooth and gives me a lot of pop and hight in my tricks so enough reason for me to choose this kite.
