Hey Mitu, you are a prototypical wave kiter, but nevertheless I remember you having a challenge with Jan Marcos Riviera after the World cup final in Germany (Sylt) with Kiteloops and strapless Waveboards. What do you think about all the freestyle and Kiteloop tricks? Kiteloops strapless and freestyle is another option when there is no wave, in fact it helps me a lot to know my board perfectly and in the same time it is very enjoyable.

Was that session just for fun, or what is so special about strapless Kiteloops for you? I like to perform F16 in Freestyle so one day i bet to do the same strapless and prove that nothing is impossible even with surfboard. The feeling is so good because all the trick is synchronize in the loop and in the landing.

Now that you are a Wold Champion in wave, what does that title mean to you? It was in 2008 and very important for me as i reach my goal in one season. Some close people bet on me and i realize it…so good.

Where and when was your best session in wave boarding ever? In Fontona, North shore SAL CABO VERDE

Anything you want to tell us? The glide on the water was always in my dreams and then 100% in my daily life. I guess, lucky me to grow up and live in CAP Verde, for sure one of best spots in the world to practice and improve surf, kite or windsurf. Right now I focus on performing new strapless tricks and I will remain concentrate on this aim to make a permanent evolution in this discipline….
